First of all we'd like to thank you for being a customer of Utopia Mortgage Software. Utopia is going into its sixth year of selling mortgage software and is driven almost entirely by repeat and referral business. INTERNET & E-COMMERCE 1999 was a big year for Utopia. We've had an Internet presence for a few years now. Up till this year, it has been mainly a support mechanism. In 1998 we opened up on-line purchasing ability so that people around the country could make a purchase decision and enter their credit card information while visiting the web site. You may take advantage of this exciting new capability by purchasing your upgrade via our ON-LINE STORE. NATIONAL COMPATIBILITY This venture into e-commerce has been an ongoing learning experience. Taking on customers from other states has put us more in tune with their state specific closing cost needs. We make sure to respond quickly to fill those needs. The software is now easily portable to any state in the country. As we gain insight and intelligence on each states specific costs, we are creating a database of those states and their costs to make installation a snap for future users from those same states. SEARCH ENGINE SUCCESS Having a presence on the Internet is no guarantee of additional business if customers never find you. Up until very recently that had been a problem. As you may know, it's easy to get lost in the Internet jungle when you're trying to peddle your own wares. We are pleased to announce that a search on 'Mortgage Software' using the top five search engines will result in Utopia Mortgage Software's coming up in the top 5 choices returned and in most cases between #1 and #3. This is a very major development and has resulted in more Internet sales during the past two months than we've received over the Internet during the previous two years. NEW $99 TRIAL VERSION In response to the inquiries of clients from around the country, we have came out with a 'Trial Version' at a cost of only $99.00. The Trial Version comes with the Good Faith Program only. There is no prequal or open house forms program. The Good Faith Estimate will give people a good sampling of Utopia's all around capabilities. An on-line tutorial manual comes with the software. Technical support is included for a 30-day period following the issuance of the password for Trial Versions as opposed to the 1 year on our Lite and Professional Versions. Current customers wishing to purchase Trial Versions for their employees may do so with no technical support included. THE FUTURE OF UTOPIA The future continues to be bright for the our software. Our vision of the future continues to be Internet Based. Some portion of every day is dedicated to research and development of our Internet Based program which will be called Xtreme Mortgage Software. Our new product will be run through a 'Browser' such as Netscape or Internet Explorer and will be completely Windows/Java based. This software will handle everything from Origination through Closing and will be available in separate packages. Data exchange with existing processing programs, credit report merges as well as artificial underwriting through FNMA and FHLMC will be an integral part of our offering. Customers will be able to use the software by logging on-line and pay by the month OR they can purchase 'Hard' copies for their office and laptop use. Upgrades will be performed on-line. Network security will be vastly improved. There are many new features that are being worked on and I'd be misleading you if I said it will be ready soon. This is the future and work has already begun.
